Jack’s career represents a 33-year commitment to serving seniors in five states (North Carolina, Georgia, Arkansas, Illinois and Florida). He has held multiple leadership roles including director positions in both corporate environments and in Health Care, including more than 16 years with Life Care Services. Jack’s passion has not changed since he began his career, which is to “provide outstanding quality of care and services to a generation that deserves the best that one can offer.”His goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of all those he may be honored to serve.
Nora Diaz, RN
Director of Health Services
A Registered Nurse (RN) with more than 20 years of experience in health care, Nora has dedicated her career to working with seniors. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico and completed her residency program in a hospital intensive care unit in Florida before taking her first position with an assisted living community. Nora also worked in home health care before joining Gentry Park Orlando. Her proven experience and love for working with seniors and families makes Nora perfect for Gentry Park Orlando.
Business Office Manager
Kari has been in the office management field for over 35 years, performing all aspects of accounting, payroll and human resources. Her experiences include industries such as manufacturing, logistics and small family-owned businesses. She grew up in Peoria, Illinois where she met her husband Mike and the two moved to Florida in 1997 to be closer to his family. In 2014 she was informed her mother was diagnosed with dementia and could no longer live alone. Kari brings a personal understanding and compassion for the family members that are facing challenges of Alzheimer’s and dementia and looks forward to working with all residents and their families.
Director of Plant Operations
Robert joins our leadership team with an outgoing, “can-do” personality, and over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry as a maintenance tech and Assistant Maintenance Director of Operations in both Florida and Georgia. His expertise encompasses overall maintenance, housekeeping, and floor care and he ensures a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, their families, and Gentry Park Orlando staff. His driving ambition is simply to “aim to please all of those that he has the honor of serving.”
Director of Life Enrichment
Sarah believes it’s been her calling to work with our older population since she was a child. With 18 years of experience and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the first college in the nation to offer a degree in Gerontology, the University of South Florida, Tampa, it’s safe to say our residents and staff are very glad to have Sarah at Gentry Park Orlando. Prior to joining the team as Director of Life Enrichment, she served in many leadership roles, including administrator of an assisted living community and director of social services for a skilled nursing community.
Executive Chef and Certified Dietary Manager
Chef Washuta graduated summa cum laude from the Culinary Arts Institute, Le Cordon Bleu program. For ten years, she was a member of the culinary team at Walt Disney World, creating her own brand of magic for guests with special dietary needs. She has particular experience creating recipes designed to combat the acceleration of memory disorders. Chef Washuta’s menus are as much about exceptional taste as they are about exceptional nutrition: her recipes have been featured in Food and Wine® Cookbooks and Disney press events.
Director of Sales and Marketing
With a versatile healthcare background, Annemarie has a unique perspective of the overall continuity of care for loved ones moving from their home to a new community. She shares a passion for seniors and their care, and in addition to assisted living, her experience includes marketing for home health care and skilled nursing communities. In her free time, Annemarie enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband and two daughters, and cheering on the New Orleans Saints and Florida State Seminoles in football.
